appeal court stays litigation
The California Court of Appeal, 5th District, issued a stay on June 5, 2015 halting litigation in a case involving real property in Frazier Park, a mountian community in southwestern Kern County, Califoria.
The Fresno, California-based court issued the stay in response to a petition for immediate relief – known in California appellate courts as a writ petition – filed by Ford Law. The stay allows Ford Law's client to proceed with her appeal without having to contend with the expense and effort of continued litigation filed by her opponent in the trial court.
